The planet is currently facing a nature emergency – the variety of plants and animal species, including birds, that make up its rich biodiversity is significantly impacted by climate change and human activities such as urbanisation, intensification of farming, and pollution. BirdTrack is an exciting project that focuses on the migration movements and distributions of birds throughout Britain and Ireland. This citizen science activity has been created by the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO), the RSPB, Birdwatch Ireland, the Scottish Ornithologists’ Club, and the Welsh Ornithological Society. BirdTrack lets you keep up to date with what others are seeing, view the latest trends, and contribute your data to BTO science.
