Castell Rhyfel

Castell Rhyfel is situated on the summit of an exposed ridge between the Afon Groes Fawr valley to the south, and the Afon Groes Fechan valley to the north. These two small yet constantly changing upland rivers have excellent examples of curves or bends known as river meanders. Afon Groes Fawr and Afon Groes Fechan ultimately join, and along with Nant y Castell, form the Afon Groes. This river then flows into Afon Brennig, which joins with Afon Teifi after flowing through the centre of Tregaron. Excellent, sweeping views of the wider Cambrian Mountains landscape can be gained from the summit, including a view of Cors Caron.
